INTEC and the Brugal Foundation will support the development of teachers in reading, writing, mathematics and science
El Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and the Brugal Foundation Education Fund have signed a collaboration agreement all with Promoting quality education in the Dominican RepublicThe agreement's main objective is Strengthen the skills of teachers and management teams en reading, writing, mathematics, and science, from a didactic perspective, based on the new curricular orientation of the Dominican educational system and on the guidelines of national educational policies.
The project contemplates This initiative offers ongoing training and technical-pedagogical support to in-service teachers at three primary schools located in Santo Domingo, San Pedro de Macorís, and Puerto Plata. Lasting twelve months and valid for two years, this program aims to directly improve teaching practices and the quality of education.
“The Brugal Foundation has always been committed to the education of new generations of Dominicans, and with this alliance, we will contribute directly to the training of teachers in three communities that have been an essential part of our history,” he emphasized. INTEC's extensive experience as an educational institution will guarantee the technical and methodological quality of the project, which includes the design and implementation of training programs, support for management teams, preparation of progress reports, and a final impact assessment.
