INTEC and FONDESA will guarantee access to higher education for young and small and medium-sized entrepreneurs


SANTO DOMINGO. - Youngsters de low incomes y medium, and small owners y medium businesses from all over the country may study, in the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), programs of degree, postgraduate, masters, Permanent Education programs y international programs with financing from Fund for Development (FONDESA).

This is established by a inter-institutional collaboration agreement signed by the president of INTEC, Rolando M. Guzmán, and the president of the Board of Directors of FONDESA, Cristian Reyna Tejada, which includes permanent cooperation and effective communication to promote and consolidate Specialized Education Financing Program with the common objective of supporting education in all its aspects.

This financing program will allow young people to financial inclusion programs and actions that promote entrepreneurship, research projects. and especially the economic development the benefit of the North Region from Dominican Republic.

As established in the agreement, those who apply will have a coverage de  financing until a 80% of the rode of the program that they will take; a credit line parallel Up to RD $ 50,000 for financing equipment required for their studies, prime interest rate not reviewable during the study period, among other benefits.

The time of processing of the facility will not be greater than 3 business days and the disbursements will be made directly to INTEC according to the amount invoiced in each quarter.

Continuing education

As a result of this agreement, the collaborators of FONDESA y BANFONDESA, who choose to pursue programs of continuing education en INTEC, will have the possibility to participate under financing without interest in charge of FONDESA.

Likewise, FONDESA makes available to INTEC students, teachers and collaborators all the savings and credit services of its subsidiary Banco de Ahorro y Crédito FONDESA, especially the free savings services currently offered by BANFONDESA.

With this Agreement, INTEC and FONDESA intend contribute to Education y quality of life than XNUMX low- and middle-income youth in the next three years. Both institutions work on the comprehensive strengthening of young people and owners who run small and medium-sized companies so that they become leaders with the ability to contribute to solving the problems of Dominican society.
