INTEC and Claro RD strengthen collaboration to promote education and technological innovation
SANTO DOMINGO. - In a meeting that reinforces the historical ties between the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and Sure RD, the Rector of the university, Julio Sanchez Marinez, visited the President and CEO of Claro RD, Carlos Cueto, who was accompanied by Sandra Tejada, Director of People and Organizational Culture and Elianna Peña Soto, Legal Director.
During the meeting, Claro executives highlighted the high valuation of the INTEC graduates who join the company, underlining their quality and preparation. The importance of internships for INTEC students was also discussed, exploring ways to strengthen and improve the impact of these experiences on the academic training of future professionals.
A highlight was Claro's collaboration in strengthening careers in information and communication technologies, such as Systems Engineering, Software Development, Data Science and Cybersecurity. Specific support for INTEC's cybersecurity program was highlighted, taking advantage of Claro's Cybersecurity Operations Center (COSC), internationally recognized for its excellence in this field.
Sánchez Maríñez expressed his appreciation for the contribution of Claro specialists, both locally and internationally, and opportunities were explored for them to participate in conferences and presentations at INTEC, enriching learning and debate in various disciplines related to telecommunications and technological innovation.
In addition, Claro's participation in INTEC's Learning Factory program was agreed, developed with the advice of Pennsylvania State University. This program allows multidisciplinary teams of students to work on real business improvement projects, with the guidance of both professors and technicians from the sponsoring company.
The meeting between Claro executives and the Rector of INTEC took place in an atmosphere of cordiality and closeness, reaffirming the mutual commitment to maintain and develop relationships of collaboration and continuous support.
