INTEC and American Bankers Association open the first Institute of Specialized Studies in Banking of the Dominican Republic
Santo Domingo.- El Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) recently opened the Specialized Banking Institute, which responds to the country's needs for specialized training in the financial and banking area, with a semi-face-to-face modality that combines face-to-face classes with online seminars.
The entity is created in partnership with the American Bankers Association (the most prestigious association of banks in the world, with 137 years founded in the United States), and among its options of courses it will offer the International Certification in Banking Branch Administration, title that will provide graduates with a certification with international validity in Banking Branch Administration and Supervision, endorsed by the association.
The institute's presentation was made through a cocktail at the Hilton Hotel and was led by Rolando Guzmán, rector of INTEC, and Diómedes Christopher, Dean of the University's Business Area. Likewise, Conney Laguna, Executive Director of the Florida Financial Training Center of the American Bankers Association, Jorge Jana, Corporate Business Manager of Banco Popular and José Luis Alonso, VP General Manager of Banco BHD, representing the banking sector.
Within the characteristics of the Specialized Institute in Banking, are: Functional unit, work directly with the executives of the industry to meet the needs hand in hand, in direct communication; Programs of very high level and academic rigor, specialized certifications, degree programs, postgraduate and master's programs and personalized programs (In house) that will be taught in the institutions that request it.
The opening cocktail was attended by executives from the country's banking and financial sector, executives from the American Bankers Association, as well as the administrative staff of INTEC's Business Area.
