INTEC recognizes the academic excellence of its employees' children in the 2025 Student Merit Award.
SANTO DOMINGO. - He Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) celebrated the Student Merit Recognition 2025, a ceremony that highlighted the effort, discipline and academic commitment of the sons and daughters of collaborators and collaborators, and full professors of the institution.
The event, held in the Events Hall of the Ana Henríquez Building (AH), brought together students from the second cycle of Primary Education to the final year of Secondary Education, all with a minimum average of 95 points and grades above 90 in all subjects.
During the activity, the Talent Management Manager of INTEC's People Department, Yaremi Cordero, awarded certificates and purchase order bonuses in recognition of the highest averages, in two categories: Primary level (5th and 6th grade) and Secundary level (1st to 6th year of secondary school).
On Primary level, the first place went to Miranda Nicole Tillero Rojas, Daughter of Adriana Carolina Rojas Guillén, in charge of the Laboratory of the Area of Basic and Environmental Sciences (98.50 points); the second for Alana Marie Rodríguez Díaz, Daughter of Rosa Albania Díaz, in charge of Organizational Development of the Planning Directorate (96.50 points); and the third for Rocely Laiony García Bello, Daughter of Ramón Emilio García Calderón, Document Validation and Digitalization Assistant of the Student Recruitment and Admissions Department (96.25 points).
On Secundary level, the first place went to Victor Manuel Rodriguez Ruiz, son of Yanay Ruiz Rosa, coordinator of Engineering Block I (99.18 points); the second to Luis Emilio Santana Taveras, son of louis taveras, Director of the Academic Development Division (99.00 points); and the third to Mia Georgina Miranda Rodriguez, Daughter of Jorge Miranda, Master's Coordinator of the Engineering Area (98.45 points).
The ceremony also recognized students who have maintained their excellence for several consecutive years, highlighting perseverance and academic commitment as fundamental values in the International University community.
As part of the day, attendees enjoyed an innovative extended reality experience organized by the Extended Reality Laboratory of INTEC, which carries out these experiences thanks to the financing of the National Fund for Innovation and Scientific and Technological Development (Fondocyt) Of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT), exploring technological applications for education and immersive learning.
Jeanette Chaljub, Academic Coordinator of the Basic and Environmental Sciences Area at INTEC, Wilson Candelario, Laboratory Assistant, and Victor Mañón, Laboratory Technician, participated in this dynamic.
The event concluded with a toast, in an atmosphere of celebration and shared pride among families, collaborators, and university officials.
