INTEC recognizes Student Merit to children of collaborators


SANTO DOMINGO. - The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) recognized the effort and dedication of the students with outstanding grades with the Recognition of Student Merit, aimed at the sons and daughters of collaborators and full teachers who have completed grades from the fifth grade of primary school to the sixth grade of secondary school with an academic average greater than 95 points.

At the opening event, Larissa Hernández, director of People Management, shared several pieces of advice to young people about their professional future. “This is the best time to ask yourself who you want to be in the future and what life you want to have. This that you ask yourself at different stages, because that changes, will allow you to connect with what you are doing,” she urged the students.

At the same time, he recognized the work of fathers and mothers in the academic performance of children and adolescents, at the same time inviting them to be good sons and daughters and to value their decisions for the future.

“Getting good grades does not mean that we are getting an A in life, and if we have to choose, I would ask you to always choose to do what you have to do, but also that your life makes you feel that what you are doing It makes sense, and that the effort they are using is worth it. You can choose which path you are going to take,” she reflected.

In the category of meritorious primary school students, the students obtained the highest academic averages Ara Valeria López, in first place, in sixth grade, who is the daughter of Edwin López, professor in the Engineering Area; Brian Pérez, same grade, took second place, son of Katia Sánchez, in charge of the Information Technology laboratory; and third place was obtained Manuel García, fifth grade, son of Víctor García, swimming instructor of the University Life Unit.

In secondary school, they were awarded Víctor Manuel Rodríguez in first place, second in high school, son of Yanay Ruiz Sosa, block coordinator of the Engineering Area, and Yaset Rodríguez, teacher in the Basic and Environmental Sciences Area, Mía Miranda, in second place, fifth grade of secondary school, daughter of Jorge Miranda Program Coordinator of the Engineering Area y Herlina Domínguez who obtained third place, Daughter of Carolina Sánchez, public services assistant.

Seven young people of excellence were also recognized from the secondary category, including Keisy Meléndez, daughter of the Engineering Area teacher Juan Meléndez; Valeria Padrón, daughter of the career coordinator of the Area of ​​Social Sciences and Humanities Alfredo Padrón.

Likewise, Fabián Curay, son of Juan Curay, leader of Information Systems; Amelia Núñez, daughter of Camelia Reynoso, administrative assistant of the clinical office; Joel Arturo Jiménez, son of Joel Francis Jiménez, professor in the Engineering Area; Marianny Terrero, daughter of Natasha Díaz, in charge of guidance in the Student Development Unit; Haslet De La Rosa, son of July Berroa, Talent Analyst of People Management and Kevin Pérez, son of Katia Sanchez, Laboratory Manager.

The magicians Francis and Gomo added dynamism, humor and joy to the recognition act, with an interactive show in which parents and children shared and witnessed acts of magic impossible for the spectators to explain, from the pot of unlimited water, to the appearance and disappearance of a rabbit and a dove.
