INTEC recognizes 29 teachers for Teacher's Day


SANTO DOMINGO.- The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) celebrated this Thursday, June 27, the "National Teacher's Day" with a special tribute to a group of 29 teachers recognized for completing 10, 20 and 30 years of academic work, and for achieving outstanding results in their teacher evaluation. The activity, which took place in the Julio Ravelo de la Fuente room of the Emilio Rodríguez Demorizi library, was the culmination of a whole week of commemorative activities for the academy teachers.

This year, the rector of INTEC Rolando M. Guzmán, surprised the teachers in the middle of their classes to give them their recognitions in the classrooms and with their students. The deliveries were emotional moments that caused the excitement of the students and the administrative staff.
The professors recognized by their excellent results in teacher evaluations are Rosario Almánzar (degree) and Cristina Contreras (degree) of the Health Sciences Area; Víctor Féliz (postgraduate) and Raquel Michelena (degree), from the Business Area.

In addition, Ivelisse Díaz (undergraduate) and José Antinoe Fiallo (undergraduate), from the Area of ​​Social Sciences and Humanities; Miriam Astacio (grade) and Luis Enrique Rodríguez (grade) from the Basic and Environmental Sciences Area. Fanny Ciprián (grade), Daviana Mazara (grade) and Alberto Morillo (grade), from the Engineering Area, also achieved the highest marks in the teacher evaluation.

Also, they were honored for completing ten years of teaching Damián Rojas Mueses and Evelyn Gregoria Lora Álvarez from the Health Sciences Area. Glorianna Cristina Montás, Juan Guzmán, María Luisa Ferrand and María Eugenia Guevara from the Area of ​​Social Sciences and Humanities. Also Pablo Guerrero Rivera, Miguel Antonio Baldera and Ramona Lidibert from the Engineering Area. For fulfilling 20 years of teaching work In the INTEC were honored Ramón Antonio Ramírez Leonardo from the Area of ​​Basic and Environmental Sciences and Luis Antonio Torres from the Business Area.

The professors outstanding for remaining in teaching since three decades ago (1983) Solangel Antonia Canela and Elbi Eulogio Morla from the Health Sciences Area; Migdalia Mercedes Martínez and Manuel Antonio Matos Moquete, from the Social Sciences Area. In the same category, teachers Corides Pérez and Pérez and Josefina Altagracia Vásquez Frías from the Area of ​​Basic and Environmental Sciences were awarded; and Carlos Manuel Cordero from the Engineering Area.

The celebration activities on the occasion of "Teacher's Day" were organized by the INTEC Teaching Management Division.
