INTEC presents learning and teaching model
El Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) unveiled its new Learning and Teaching Model, MAE-INTEC, which seeks to redirect academic work to ensure the integral education of the student through a quality education that responds to personal, professional, social and environmental conditions .
The purpose of the model is to make the profile of graduates of the institution a benchmark of knowledge, skills, abilities and values, in accordance with international standards and with the national challenges of sustainable development.
This step complements the curricular reform of the university, which came into force in August, with more flexible and restructured study plans in most of the courses, which have more elective subjects, a modular structure and reinforce the preparation in English.
The main objectives of the MAE – INTEC are to establish conditions and learning experiences centered on the student body; guarantee the provision of conditions, spaces and learning processes, in close and constant relationship with the needs and demands of the local and global professional context; and constantly guide the perspectives for the improvement of teaching management.
The model is based on guiding lines that promote and encourage the development of lifelong learning abilities and attitudes, the development of a sense of social commitment, the strengthening of a local-global awareness and the development of an educational community. with vocation and scientific sense.
The presemtacion of the model took place in the Auditorium Osvaldo García de la Concha of INTEC and was chaired by the rector Miguel J. Escala. The authorities, coordinators, teachers, students, administrators and graduates of the university participated in it.
