INTEC participates in the official launch of the 2025 Global Entrepreneurship Week "Together we build"
The annual celebration seeks to promote entrepreneurial ideas in the Dominican Republic.
Santo Domingo. - Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) was part of the launching ceremony of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2025, whose general theme this year is “Together we build”, with a commitment to strengthening the Dominican entrepreneurial ecosystem.
During the press conference organized by Pyhex Work and other allied institutions, the details of this edition of the SGE were announced, which will be held from 17 to 23 November 2025Institutional representatives, members of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, media outlets, and strategic allies participated in the event.
Among the institutions are the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes (MICM) and Banreservas. Also participating are partners such as INTEC, the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University (UNPHU), and the Dominican-American Cultural Institute, among others.
For INTEC, they were present Shajira Nazir, Dean of the Department of Economics and Business, and Samuel Bonilla, institutional advisor, who accompaniedYarod Rodriguez,Graduate and entrepreneur of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI), winner of the contest INTEC Emprende 2025, who is currently undergoing his continuous pre-incubation advisory period.
In their speeches, INTEC authorities highlighted that the university celebrates each year, through its Entrepreneurship and Innovation Directorate and its Institutional Mobility Unit, la Global INTECcultural and Entrepreneurship Week.
During this Week, both units attached to the Vice-Rector's Office for Research share a broad catalog of events to celebrate Dominican identity and showcase the culture of other countries. A series of activities designed to inspire, educate, and connect the community are also offered, fostering personal and professional growth in a multicultural and entrepreneurial environment.
The press conference also allowed Pyhex Work to detail the thematic structure of this SGE 2025, organized in eight strategic axes which will address sectors such as the circular economy and sustainability, agrotechnology, health and wellness, sustainable transportation, immersive tourism, among others.
It was announced that the activities will take place in different time slots (morning, afternoon, and evening) in venues such as Pyhex Work facilities, participating universities, shopping centers, and regional headquarters.
