INTEC invites graduates to walk for a cause
Santo Domingo. El Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) invites all its graduates, students, professors, collaborators and friends of the institution to participate in the Annual Meeting of Graduates, to be held on Sunday 4 March in the Botanical Garden.
This year the meeting is a walk to the benefit of the INTEC Program with Outstanding Students (PIES), which for 25 years has been a scholarship to young people for their academic excellence regardless of their social status.
"We invite to build a bridge of solidarity towards other generations so that others also have a university career with the backing of an institution of excellence", said the spokesperson of the Association of Graduates (ADE-INTEC), Zoraya Mora, graduated in Civil Engineering of the 1985 Promotion.
The activity promises to be a reunion between generation partners in a day of family entertainment along with some of INTEC's outstanding graduates, who have been invited to the event, such as athlete Iván Gómez and ultradistance swimmer Marcos Díaz.
"The objective of the meeting is to maintain the link with those who have been trained in our classrooms, although, of course, anyone who wants to contribute to this great hive can participate," said Mora, who explained that the university opens the doors to its graduates. to take advantage of benefits such as discounts in commercial establishments and discounts in educational services of INTEC, among others.
"A university career makes a difference in the quality of life of people and today the issue of education becomes increasingly important. People should be aware that with a small contribution can do much and that is a necessary step towards a culture of donation and social responsibility as people who have been able to have access to higher education, "he explained.
