INTEC inaugurates its 2026 Talent Fair
More than 30 companies are participating in this event, which becomes a networking platform for students, graduates and the general public to access job opportunities.
SANTO DOMINGO. - El Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) inaugurated its fourteenth Talent Fair this Wednesday, March 25, an event in which more than 30 companies from different sectors offer multiple vacancies to young professionals, in addition to presenting workshops aimed at developing skills for the workplace.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony that officially opened the event, INTEC Rector Arturo Del Villar emphasized that the academy promotes these types of initiatives with the goal of creating networking spaces for highly trained young people, in an open call to the public.
“Each year more companies participate in our Talent Fair, and that reflects the quality of the human capital we train at INTEC: professionals who respond to the demands of the productive sectors,” said Del Villar.
Likewise, the Vice-Rector for Research and Outreach, Rosario Aróstegui, held a prior meeting with executives from the participating companies, in which she expressed that “at INTEC we understand that training does not happen in isolation, but in connection, dialogue and collaboration.”
In this regard, Aróstegui highlighted the projects through which INTEC connects with the employer sector, such as the advisory committees of the Academic Areas, where training programs are constantly reviewed; the Learning Factory program, in which students develop solutions to real problems of companies; and INTECnología, the flagship innovation and knowledge event that generates high-level spaces for exchange between academia, business and society.
He also highlighted the institutional focus on strengthening STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) careers as a key axis for training the talent that the country demands and its articulation with the productive sector.
About the Talent Fair
The 2026 Talent Fair is being held at the INTEC campus, located in the Los Jardines sector, on Los Próceres Avenue, and will be open until March 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Participating companies include EATON, Grupo Vimenca - Data Vimenca, BD - Becton, Dickinson and Company, Crecer (AFP and Insurance), Scotia Global Business Services / Scotiabank, Ageport, Banco Ademi, Baxter, Banco Popular, Centro Cuesta Nacional, Banreservas, CCM - Civil Contractors, DP World, Grupo Rica, Origami Risk, Planeta Azul, Quala, Rannik, Seaboard, Smurfit Westrock, Accumed, Acerh, Cardnet, Grupo Puntacana, Mercasid, Pedreira, Soventix, Thryv Dominicana, V2A Consulting, VOPM and AFP Siembra.
These companies will be donating 10% of their registration fee for the Fair to the INTEC scholarship program for Outstanding Students (PIES).
With this annual initiative, organized by the Development, Institutional Relations and Alumni units, INTEC promotes the connection between professional talent and leading companies in the market, facilitating their job placement.
This Talent Fair is part of INTEC's institutional strategy to strengthen the connection between academic training, employability and the country's development, with a particular emphasis on promoting STEM areas as an engine of growth and innovation.
The event includes a varied program of talks, impactful activities in the workplace, as well as workshops on entrepreneurship and innovation.
