SANTO DOMINGO. - The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) established a “Gender Equality and Equity Policy for an Inclusive and Fair Culture”, with the aim of promoting an inclusive and equitable environment within its university community. The development of this initiative, in which the university welcomes the participation of the Igualando RD Seal in coordination with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Ministry of Women.

The "Gender Equality and Equity Policy for an Inclusive and Fair Culture” It is structured around five fundamental pillars that cover: guaranteeing equitable access, promoting training in equality and gender equity and diversity, fostering conciliation and co-responsibility, creating a safe and violence-free environment and promoting inclusive communication.

Julio Sánchez Maríñez, rector of INTEC, stressed the importance of this policy as part of the transformation towards a more inclusive university. “Gender equality and equity is not only a legal and moral commitment, but also a catalyst for sustainable development and progress in our society,” he explained.
