INTEC offers a workshop on systemic support as a tool for human and professional development


SANTO DOMINGO.- The Area of ​​Social Sciences and Humanities of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) developed the workshop “Systemic support as a tool for human and professional development”, within the framework of the subject Pedagogical Supervision and Support, as part of its commitment to the comprehensive strengthening of teaching skills.

The training session was facilitated by Roberto Martínez De los Santos, and was aimed at deepening the pedagogical support from a human and systemic perspective, recognizing the teacher as the central axis of the processes of improvement and professional development.

Father Roberto Martínez de los Santos is a priest and educator with a solid academic and pastoral background. He holds degrees in Philosophy and Theology with highest honors, and master's degrees in Church History in the Americas and Educational Sciences. He has served as a professor, parish priest, academic director, and ecclesiastical delegate on ecological and environmental issues.

During the workshop, participants addressed topics related to the systemic approach to pedagogical support, its components and foundations, as well as the emotional, relational, and ethical dimensions involved in teaching. The agenda included case analysis sessions, reflection circles, and exercises. role-play and collaborative work in pairs and triads, fostering an active and reflective learning experience.

Furthermore, the support process was highlighted as a continuous process of reflection and mutual feedback, promoting dialogue techniques, feedback and supervision, geared towards professional growth and strengthening educational practices.

With this initiative, the Social Sciences and Humanities Area strengthens its commitment to teacher training focused on the individual, dialogue and continuous improvement, integrating contemporary approaches that respond to the current demands of educational practice.
