INTEC graduates 663 new professionals


SANTO DOMINGO.- The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) on Saturday held its fiftieth ordinary graduation ceremony by delivering to the country 663 new professionals at grade levels, specialty and masters, during an event held at the Virgilio Travieso Soto Sports Palace.

Among the graduates stands out the first promotion of teachers of the Master's Degree in Gender and Equality Policies in Education, whose 30 graduates were trained to design and implement programs that promote respect and application of educational practices with a gender perspective. The master's degree was developed within the framework of an agreement between the INTEC, the Ministry of Education (MINERD) and the National Institute for Training and Training of Teachers (INAFOCAM).

Likewise, the graduates of Medicine of INTEC obtained the highest scores in the annual exams for the entrance to the medical residences, surpassing the students of all the other universities and reiterating our leadership in the matter of academic quality in the field of that career.

Both studied their careers through the PIES Scholarship Program (INTEC with Outstanding Students).

Statistics

Of the new 663 graduates, 369 are women and 294 are men. Of the total, 238 belong to the Engineering Area; 186 to the Business Area; 67 to the Area of ​​Health Sciences; 164 to the Area of ​​Social Sciences and Humanities and 8 to the Area of ​​Basic and Environmental Sciences.

Within the group, there are 95 graduates who obtained academic honors. Of these, 33 reached the title with honor Cum Laude; 37 Magna Cum Laude and 25 the highest honors of Summa Cum Laude.

Likewise, within the promotion there are 36 scholars from the INTEC Program with Outstanding Students (PIES), 30 from which they obtained academic honors: 15 Summa Cum Laude, 11 Magna Cum Laude and four Cum Laude. Also, 11 new graduates of the PIES group obtained the highest index of their respective careers.
