INTEC strengthens its international projection with a European academic visit within the framework of Erasmus+


SANTO DOMINGO. - The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) It developed a high-level academic agenda with the participation of European teachers and researchers, in the context of the Erasmus+ program, as part of its commitment to internationalization and inter-university cooperation.

The delegation consisted of Anna Nowacka, Vice-Rector, and Mariola Szewczyk-Jarocka, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at The Mazovian University in Płock (Poland); Peter Roško, Research Professor at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava; as well as Eduard Alexandru Stoica, from Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, and Călin Hurbean, from Western University of Timișoara, both from Romania.

The agenda, which ran from March 16 to 20, was coordinated by the Office of Institutional Mobility and combined academic sessions, strategic meetings, and institutional immersion activities. The program began with a welcome meeting led by the Director of Mobility, followed by exchanges with key areas such as the Directorate of Research and the Academic Areas of Engineering and Economics and Business, aimed at identifying opportunities for collaboration and strengthening existing ties.

As a central part of the visit, the visiting academics conducted training sessions for undergraduate students. These sessions covered topics such as artificial intelligence and automation applied to digital accounting, decision modeling in organizational settings, and the fundamentals of mechanics applied to structural design. These presentations fostered critical analysis and the exchange of international perspectives in the classroom.

The program also included institutional presentations, campus tours, and visits to laboratories specializing in engineering, technology, and innovation environments, allowing the delegation to learn about INTEC's academic and technological capabilities, as well as its initiatives in practical and applied training.

In parallel, working meetings were held between teachers from the areas of economics, business and engineering, focused on exploring joint projects, academic mobility and the development of collaborative programs.

This visit is part of INTEC's institutional strategy to consolidate international networks and promote training connected to global contexts, in line with the current demands of higher education.
