INTEC delivers new professionals to the 720 country

SANTO DOMINGO.- The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) invested in 720 new professionals of degree, masters and specialty during its forty-ninth graduation ceremony, held this Saturday 11 October in the Palace of Sports Virgilio Travieso Soto.

The first eleven graduates of theSpeciality in Statistics applied to Businesses received their degree, which trains professionals in the design of business strategies and administration of statistical processes, to know the behavior of companies and their competitors. The program, open two years in the Business Area, it is increasingly necessary for making strategic management decisions in the markets.

With the integration into the society of these new 720 professionals, INTEC has increased its number of titles issued to 26,694 since its foundation (9 of October of 1972), corresponding to the levels: 1,908 Technician; Degree, 15,561 and Postgraduate, 9,225.

Of these, 357 corresponds to the Bachelor's level, 225 to Specialty and 138 to the Master's, among which the postgraduate groups in International Trade Management (double degree with the National University of Costa Rica), Master in Banking and Market of Values, Education of Young People and Adults and Administration of Construction, among others.

The central speech of the ceremony was in charge of the administrator of the Bank of Reserves, Enrique Ramírez, graduated from the Economics of INTEC, who in his words valued that the graduates have faith, will and the possibility of choosing, which for him are the three most important faculties of a human being.

"In addition to preparation and knowledge, they have also received the best gift that life provides to every person; three faculties of inestimable value, something that no one will ever be able to remove and that in no scenario can one object, debate or condemn. Three things that no one can ever renounce. Resources that will always go with you wherever you go, because it is an inherent right, legitimate and natural in every human being: You have the faith, the will and the possibility to choose, "said the official.

The ceremony was headed by the vice president of the Board of Regents, Claudia De los Santos, the rector of INTEC, Rolando M. Guzmán, together with Alfonso Casasnovas, vice-rector of Administration and Finance, Leandra Tapia, Academic Vice-Rector and Indhira De Jesús, Vice-Rector for Research and Liaison, as well as teaching and administrative authorities of the academy.

Cynthia Carolina Rivas Guerra, graduated from the Business Administration career, was in charge of the speech of thanks on behalf of the graduates, while the young Jatnna Estefanía Soto Santana, graduated from the Medicine career, pronounced the oath of honor of the graduates.

Statistics

Of the new 720 graduates, 418 are women and 302 are men. Of the total, 246 belong to the Engineering Area; 187 to the Business Area; 143 to the Area of ​​Health Sciences; 141 to the Area of ​​Social Sciences and Humanities and 3 to the Area of ​​Basic and Environmental Sciences.

Within the group, there are 78 graduates who obtained academic honors. Of these, 36 reached the title with honor Cum Laude; 25 Magna Cum Laude and 17 the highest honors of Summa Cum Laude.

Likewise, within the promotion there are 21 scholars from the INTEC Program with Outstanding Students (PIES), 15 of which they reached academic awards, five Cum Laude; two Magna Cum Laude and eight Summa Cum Laude.
