INTEC and Integra sign an agreement to develop research in the area of ​​health sciences


SANTO DOMINGO. - El Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and Integra signed a framework collaboration agreement with the aim of developing research work in the area of ​​health sciences.

The agreement signed by the rector of INTEC, Julio Sanchez Marinez, and the CEO of Integra, Gaston Gabin, contemplate the realization of activities of research projects. y development of innovations, the participation of Integra personnel in the seminars, courses, workshops and other academic activities carried out by the university; the exchange of academic and scientific documents, the development of joint training programs, as well as joint publications.

Likewise, an internship program will be developed for INTEC graduates, among other academic and scientific activities.

Integra is a group of companies that are integrated with the aim of transforming and improving the Dominican health system in a sustainable and sustainable way, placing the patient's well-being at the center of each of the decisions, Gabin said.

The Integra ecosystem is made up of CEMDOE, an outpatient medical center focused on chronic diseases, which offers a comprehensive care model focused on the safety, quality and experience of the patient and their family, based on national and international processes, standards and policies.

While the Area of ​​Health Sciences of INTEC teaches bachelor's degrees in Medicine y Dentistry; master's degrees in Public Health Sciences and Epidemiology, riding a Clinical Nutriology, riding a Pediatric Clinical Nutriology, riding a Obesology and Dietetics and in Clinical psychology and the Health. Also, the specialty Clinical Nutriology.

In 2018 the race of Medicine from INTEC received the international accreditation of the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and Other Health Professions (CAAM-HP), becoming the first and only one in the country to obtain the endorsement of a body recognized by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).

With this accreditation, which was granted for a period of five years, INTEC guarantees medical education with the highest international standards and the possibility that Medicine graduates can continue to position themselves as before, in medical residency programs in the United States. , Europe and Latin America. In fact, starting in 2023, the United States will only recognize the degrees of students who graduate from internationally accredited universities.
