INTEC celebrates Science Week 2025

This event seeks to promote scientific advances that enable us to solve the new economic, social and environmental challenges necessary to build a sustainable future.

SANTO DOMINGO. - The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC inaugurated its Science Week, an event to disseminate the university's research progress.

During the opening of the event, Rosario Aróstegui, Vice-Rector for Research and Engagement at INTEC, expressed the importance of working on the development of research in the academic field.

“Only together can we achieve the results we desire and fulfill our mission—not just academic excellence, but our second mission as a research university, one of networking, achieving results that impact our country and, consequently, enabling us to have students and graduates who serve as ambassadors for us, generating the social change we so desperately need,” he said.

Meanwhile, Research Director, Carlos Sanlley, shared about the expected long-term impact of Science Week.  "We don't work from today to tomorrow, but rather toward the future, thinking a little further ahead so that over the next ten years we can continue building a trajectory of innovation and a university of 4.0 technologies," he said.

The event, held at INTEC's Social Security Auditorium, features workshops and conferences on current and relevant topics, bringing together experts for the purpose, and interactive activities related to the sciences.
