Student Center inaugurated, a space to share

SANTO DOMINGO. The students of Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) has at its disposal a new space for recreation and recreation, which is located in the Ercilia Pepín building next to the Student Services Division.

The space, of about 140 square meters of construction, is endowed with dining areas and terrace, with plasma TVs, giant projector and informative murals. Also microwave, maps, audiovisual connections and will have coffee machines. 

The Student Center was inaugurated with a Christmas bonus, in which there were performances by the theater, choir, dance and mime groups. The brief opening ceremony was headed by Rector Rolando M. Guzmán; the dean of the Student Services Division, Bernardo Echavarría; the vice-rector of Administration and Finance, Alfonso Casasnovas and the Academic Vice-Rector, Leandra Tapia.

At the opening, the dean of the Student Services Division indicated that the Center will be a space for leisure and rest for students, in which activities such as karaokes, sporting event transmissions and movie nights will be organized, among others. many, under a program that was announced will be known as #IntecNigths. 

In addition, it will be the place for meetings of student groups and that perform co-curricular activities.
