Grupo Ramos awards scholarships to graduates of Fe y Alegría to study at INTEC

Two outstanding students graduated from Fe y Alegría educational centers received scholarships sponsored by the “Let's Change Tomorrow” program of Grupo Ramos, to pursue their university careers in the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC).

Thanks to their good academic performance, the Perla Virtudes Moreno Betances graduates, of the Sancha Cardinal Technical School of Santo Domingo Norte; and José Alexander Rodríguez, of the Center of Excellence Prof. Cristina Billini Morales, of Santo Domingo, were favored with the full financing of their careers, under an agreement signed by Grupo Ramos, Fe y Alegría and INTEC, from which they have benefited. another eight students since its implementation, in the 2006 year.

"I want to express once again our sincere admiration for the wonderful work done by Fe y Alegría and INTEC in favor of the comprehensive promotion of women and men academically prepared and morally committed to the development of our country," said Celso Manuel Pérez, vice president of Administration and Finance of Grupo Ramos, during a ceremony held at the university to receive the new scholars.

The executive congratulated the young students and exhorted them to "always look forward, clearly establish their goals, pursue them with passion, define the values ​​that will govern their actions and celebrate their successes with joy and humility".

The director of INTEC, Dr. Miguel J. Escala, highlighted the significant contribution of the Ramos Group through its scholarship program, which opens opportunities to young people with exceptional qualifications, but who do not always have the financial resources necessary to pay a quality higher education.

Father Antonio Lluberes, national director of Fe y Alegría, and the beneficiary students thanked the company for its sustained support for the institution's projects, which includes, in addition to the scholarships for its outstanding graduates, an annual contribution of RD $ 2 million for the construction and expansion of classrooms in some of the most impoverished areas of the country.
