Freddy Ginebra will be a guest speaker at INTEC's graduation.


On Saturday, April 26, INTEC will award 911 undergraduate and graduate degrees to young people who represent the present and future of the Dominican Republic.

SANTO DOMINGO. - The outstanding cultural manager Freddy Ginebra will guest speaker in the seventieth graduation ceremony of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), which will be held on Saturday, April 26 in the Sans Souc Convention CenterYes, starting at 10:00 in the morning.

Ginebra, who was recognized as an Honorary Professor at INTEC in 2024, will speak to the 911 graduates who will receive their degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as their families and university faculty.   

At this graduation ceremony, INTEC will honor 527 women and 383 men. Of the total graduating class, 51.51% will graduate with Suma Cum Laude honors, 30.43% Magna Cum Laude, and 18.06% Cum Laude.

About Freddy Geneva

Ginebra Giudicelli was born in Santo Domingo on February 17, 1944. She studied law at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD). She then studied English philology, communication sciences and public relations at New York University.

In 1964, at the age of 19, he produced the television program “Cita con la Juventud”, and in 1974 he founded Casa de Teatro, an emblematic cultural venue, located in the Colonial City, a space for visual artists, poets, theater artists, dance and musicians. which maintains an uninterrupted calendar of permanent cultural activities, including plays, dance shows, painting exhibitions, visual arts and music.

In 1984 he founded and chaired the Advertising Summit, and was also president of the Dominican League of Advertising Agencies (LIDAP).

He has received various awards for his extensive and intense work as a promoter, manager and cultural creator, among which are the  Camilo Carrau Award for "National Pride in Cinema" during the 11th edition of the Dominican Global Film Festival; Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the Republic of France; Order of Isabella the Catholic, in the degree of Officer's Cross, by the Kingdom of Spain; and  Most Influential Cultural Manager of the 20th Century, awarded at the third edition of the International Festival of Hispanic American Theater in Rhode Island, United States.
