Strengthen management skills of NGO leaders
With the objective of strengthening the managerial capacities of the leaders of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), through the increase of their abilities for the efficient and effective management of their organizations, the USAID Program for Environmental Protection started the Diploma " Executive Leadership and Institutional Strengthening ”.
Simultaneously, the Environmental Protection Program began the third round of the Diploma in Environmental Impact Assessment, which in this new version is aimed at officials from the Ministry of the Environment and teachers from various universities in the country.
The diploma in Executive Leadership is aimed at Executive Directors and Program Managers of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), who work in the environment and natural resources sector, as well as officials from the Ministry of the Environment. These, through the tools provided, the development of competencies, and the application of knowledge and techniques related to the management of organizations, will have a basic knowledge of the key components for the effective management of an organization, they will have a better understanding of their own leadership styles, ways of fostering teamwork, and how to handle internal conflicts within an organization.
Likewise, they will handle the necessary elements for the implementation of an effective fundraising campaign, they will have the elements to assess financial management and how to structure it in their organization to support decision-making, and they will have tools for planning and evaluation. effective project.
The diploma will last 120 hours, divided into five modules over 15 weeks.
Meanwhile, the objective of the Diploma in Environmental Impact Assessment is to train human resources who are capable of managing, evaluating and reviewing environmental impact assessment studies in accordance with the procedures and standards legally established in our country.
Another objective of the Program is to have a training program that gradually enables human resources to be trained to increase the capacity for analysis in the review of environmental impact studies and environmental statements. This diploma course will last 120 hours, divided into four modules, for a total of 15 weeks.
Both courses are carried out thanks to the support of the United States people through the United States Agency for Development, through the Environmental Protection Program, which is executed by The Nature Conservancy and INTEC.
