Talent Fair INTEC 2010 presents employment opportunities
El Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) invites its graduates and interested professionals to participate in the "IV INTEC 2010 Talent Fair" on 25, 26 and 27 this month, a meeting place with employment opportunities and professional development of the business sector, the world of entrepreneurship and academic specialization in international universities.
Some 40 companies, educational entities, chambers of commerce, foundations and embassies present this year their vacancies, scholarships and support plans for professionals seeking to pursue postgraduate studies abroad.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the job market of companies such as Orange Dominicana, star sponsor of the fair, Alcatel-Lucent, Viva, Microsoft, Ambev Dominicana, Cemex, PIISA, Scotiabank, Refrescos Nacionales, Grupo Popular, AES Dominicana, Colgate Palmolive and Eaton Corporation, among others.
There will also be a space for those interested in starting their own businesses with the "Second Seminar for International Entrepreneurs" on the topic "Crucial steps to formalize the new company", with representatives of entities that support entrepreneurship and a panel of prominent women entrepreneurs.
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT), an international expert in the field of entrepreneurship will offer a conference, on Thursday 25 of March, to the 7: 00 PM, exclusively addressed to INTEC graduates.
There will also be lectures and information tables on the offer of specialization studies from recognized international academies such as the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), the leading university in engineering in the United States, among others.
Since one of the obstacles to postgraduate studies is financing, INTEC this year has guaranteed the participation of entities with scholarship plans and facilities to finance study programs, among them, the MESCyT itself, the Franklin Center of the Embassy of United States, the APEC Foundation of Educational Credit (Fundapec), the embassies of Russia, Cuba and Israel and the platform of internships and professional internships of the International Association of Students of the Economic and Commercial Sciences (AIESEC).
During the two and a half days of the Fair will be offered lectures such as "Masters abroad: Paradise or hell?", "How to make a career in international organizations?" And "Study medicine in the US and Europe."
As a previous activity to the Talent Fair, the workshop "Prepare to find employment" is organized, in which the INTEC term students will know tips and tools to enter the labor market, which will be in charge of the director of Human Resources of CEMEX for the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean, Felix Chamorro. It will be Thursday 18 of March at the 4: 00 PM in the Julio Ravelo de la Fuente room, from the INTEC library.
