Engineering students 'decorate' the virtual campus for Christmas

Santo Domingo. Christmas card Instituto Tecnológico de Santo DomingoINTEC, this year is a virtual tour of its campus, created by four students, constituted in the Alpha Group.

Irving Anglón, Evangelista Marte, Pablo De León and Otto Vargas, of Systems and Civil Engineering, virtualized the INTEC campus as part of the 2011 Competency of Intecnology Projects, of which they were winners and which has been taken by the university as your Christmas greeting medium.

The students won the 2011 Intecnology Project Competition with their "Virtual Campus" proposal, a virtual tour of the university, at 3D, which allows exploring the García de la Concha buildings, part of the Library, the Fernando Defilló laboratory building, the platforms and other areas.

The original project can have multiple applications: as a video game, to extend the interaction with users and to facilitate the virtual tour of the main facilities of the university.

With the aim of bringing interested and related to their campus closer, INTEC assumed the work of the Alpha Group in a "Christmas" version that has been used as the official Christmas greeting card.

The original production won the 2011 Intecnology Project Competition, both the jury and the public's prize, through a contest for social networks. Each received a minilaptop and an external hard drive.
