INTEC Business School receives international reaccreditation


The university received international accreditation from IACBE for the first time in 2013, highlighting the academy's commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in business education.

SANTO DOMINGO. - The Board of Commissioners of the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) ratified la specialized accreditation of the undergraduate and graduate programs in the Economics and Business Area of ​​the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) until 2030.

In its results report, the international accreditation agency highlighted that the INTEC Economics and Business Area “has demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement, excellence in business education and the advancement of academic quality in its programs and business operations. ”.

The reaccredited programs are the bachelor's degrees in Business Administration; Marketing and Digital Business; Accounting and Financial Analytics, and Economy. Also, masters en Human Talent Management, and their concentrations in Corporate Finance, Financial Market and Financial and Risk Engineering; Senior Management; Quality and productivity, and Finance, and their concentrations in Entrepreneurship, Service Management, Health Services Management. While the degrees in International Business and Commercial Engineering.

The international accreditation agency based in Kansas, United States, specifies that INTEC met its nine accreditation standards, among which it cites commitment to integrity, responsibility and ethical behavior; quality evaluation and improvement; business curricula and learning opportunities; and innovation in business education, among others.

The dean of the INTEC Economics and Business Area, Manuel Peña, expressed that the accreditation is a recognition of the innovative and relevant programs offered by the university, as well as the quality of its graduates. Additionally, he highlighted the value of accreditation for strengthening the professional curriculum in the country, and maintained that the university will continue working for the development of business schools in the Dominican Republic.

The INTEC Economics and Business Area will be publicly recognized during the IACBE 2024 Annual Conference and Assembly, which will be held in Memphis, Tennessee, from April 2 to 4. The INTEC Business School's undergraduate and graduate programs first received IACBE accreditation in 2016 after passing a rigorous, nearly two-year evaluation process.
