The CII-INTEC performs first ordinary graduation


Santo Domingo. The International Language Center of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (IIC-INTEC), recently completed his first ordinary graduation, with a total of 78 graduates, 40 of the general English program and 38 of the modern communicative Mandarin program.

The event was headed by Paola Hernández, Academic Coordinator of the CII and Migdalia Martínez and Elsa López, Dean and Deputy Dean of the Area of ​​Social Sciences and Humanities, respectively, Deanship to which the CII belongs.

In his words, Martinez stressed that the creation of the International Language Center emerged as an initiative to promote and promote knowledge that allows students to successfully insert themselves in the professional and work environment. "Through it, we have proposed to keep an offer open to any public interested in enriching their skills, through learning the most demanded languages ​​in our society," he stressed.

The center, which has been founded for four years, currently has six language programs. In addition to English and Mandarin, they also teach Portuguese, French, Spanish for foreigners and Creole.

In addition, training services are offered in English and technical French for students and professionals in the areas of business, engineering and medicine; translation of documents in English, Spanish, French and Mandarin; e Simultaneous interpretation and / or simultaneous assistance (English-Spanish / Spanish-English).

In the graduation ceremony that took place in the Osvaldo Gracia de la Concha Auditorium, on the university campus, María Elena Córdoba, Director of Curricular Development, Oliver Cruz, Marketing Coordinator and the mathematics teacher, Leonte Ramírez, Coordinator were also present. of Physics of the Dean of Basic Sciences.

About the CII-INTEC

The International Language Center started in September of 2008 with a total of 85 students enrolled in the English and Mandarin programs. The latter, given thanks to the support of the Popular Chinese Commercial Office, is the Dominican Republic.

In 2010, the Spanish and general French languages ​​were included in its academic offer, in agreement with the French Alliance, allowing the expansion of the CII-INTEC to a total of 120 students per quarter.

For the 2011, Portuguese and Creole classes are incorporated, and the population grows to 151 quarterly students.
