1985 graduates meet again at INTEC

Santo Domingo.- On the occasion of the 25 anniversary of his graduation, graduates of the 1985 promotion and postgraduate Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) were reunited to share in the "Atardecer de Plata", organized by the Department of Development and Graduates of the institution. 

The professionals of the different university careers They were able to reunite with their classmates and teachers, many of whom they had not met since their graduation day.

In the event the graduates of engineering degree announced the delivery of a scholarship to a new student of civil engineering income of the Program INTEC with Outstanding Students, FEET. The award of this scholarship is part of the "Tendiendo Puentes" program promoted by the Development and Graduates Directorate in support of the PIES.

"With this contribution, the promotion creates a link and gives the opportunity to a future intern graduate to receive high quality higher education, which corresponds to principles of solidarity and social responsibility," said Miguel J. Escala, rector of the INTEC.

The scholarship called "Engineering 85" will exempt the registration fee of the young student Alfredo Andújar, who will enter the INTEC in the next quarter August-October 2010, after graduating from high school, with outstanding grades from the Liceo Madre Ascensión Nicol in the province of Monte Plata, one of the poorest provinces in the Dominican Republic.

Also, some of the graduates of the promotion 1985 collaborated with the "A Brick for the hive" program through which interested parties can contribute by buying a brick funds were used for the construction of a room telelearning that will provide the community of INTEC the opportunity to take teleconferences and interact with academics worldwide.
