SANTO DOMINGO. - The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) presented the documentary "INTEC: 50 years of an inspiring legacy", produced and directed by the filmmaker Pablo Lozano, to commemorate the first 50 years of the university's history

Audiovisual production, available to the public through the INTEC Youtube channel at this link, synthesizes the main milestones that marked the history of the university since its foundation on October 9, 1972, the year in which a group of young Dominican professionals who had studied abroad set out to form the academic institution.

The documentary that deals with "an inspiring story of daring, sacrifice and courage for the social transformation of the Dominican Republic" was narrated in the first person by several of the founding members, teachers, employees and graduates of the institution in the first person.

Participate the rector, Julio Sanchez Marinez; Michelangelo Heredia Bonetti, founder member; Andrea Paz, INTEC graduate of the Economics career and who was Executive Director of Research of the University; Maricécili Mora Ramis, Outstanding Graduate of Psychology y coordinator of the master's degree in Clinical Psychology; Katherine Motyka, member of the board of regents of INTEC y Outstanding Graduate; the guiding pasts Miguel Escala, Rolando Guzmán and Altagracia López, the last Academic Vice Chancellor and Research Professor Leandra Tapia, and the teachers José Agustín De Miguel, Luis Eduardo Tonos, Lourdes Contreras, Altagracia López y Raymundo Jimenez Hernandez.

In the work of producing the documentary, Lozano had the support of Adriana del Conte, who carried out the research for the memories of the first fifty years of INTEC; of Carmen Matos, Director of Institutional Communication, and José Selmo, coordinator of Multimedia Services in audiovisual production; Aura Cinnamon in the writing the script and post production, together with the executive production of the rector of INTEC, Julio Sánchez Maríñez and Alliet Ortega, Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance.

Production coordination was carried out Rosanna Cruz, Social Media Coordinator y Rachanny García, Administrative Assistant for Multimedia Services. The cameras were managed by Carlos Mojica, Starlin Canela y Omar Escoto; Meanwhile he was in charge of Ricardo Blandino.

The documentary premiered in November of last year at Fine Arts with the presence of the rector, vice rectors, founders, past rectors, teachers and students, on a night in which emotions surfaced. Since then, several days of presentations have been held on the academic campus, attracting professors, special guests and the student community, who enjoyed the screening on the main square of the campus.
