INTEC teachers were recognized by Harvard University


Santo Domingo. -The doctors Elbi Morla and Leandra Cordero, teachers of Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) were recognized by Harvard University, after completing the course Principle and Practice of Clinical Research with the highest grades, setting a record in the history of the course at that academy.

The doctors, who are part of the faculty of the INTEC Health Sciences Area, managed to achieve the highest qualification both in the sub-total evaluation (more than 910 to the sub-total) and evaluation on salient in the final summation (1000 / 1000).

In a communication sent by the course director, Professor Felipe Fregni, highlights that in the statistics of these courses it is the first time that a doctor reaches these scores. “I am very proud of your work at PPCR. As you know, PPCR is a demanding program and it is not easy to achieve those milestones. Congratulations again! ”.

Doctors Elbi Morla and Leandra Cordero expressed their pride in the achievement achieved, since with this they enhance the teaching quality of INTEC and promote research within the institution.

The Principle and Practice of Clinical Research (PPCR) course is a high-quality scientific training given from Harvard University with a duration of seven months. This year in its eighth version, it had about 400 participants from different parts of the world, with different levels of training, including coordinators of North American medical residencies.

On this occasion, doctors from 22 countries participated, including Canada, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, England, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia. , Cyprus, China, Japan and South Korea. 

The Harvard University PPCR course is a requirement of all research programs that Harvard University offers. It focuses on all aspects of clinical research in the health area, from the most basic concepts to the ethical approach and the influence of the industry in this aspect.

At the end of the academic day, the participants carried out a research project with all the required standards to submit it to institutions with the United States National Institute of Health (NHI).
