INTEC teacher obtains nominations in the Dominican Radio Award


Santo Domingo. -The teacher and coordinator of the degree in Social Communication and Digital Media of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), Rosa Alcántara, obtained four nominations in the GARDO Award, Award for Dominican Radio, as a current radio program, producer and host.

The journalist obtained the awards for her radio show La Verdad Ante Todo, which reached 16 years of uninterrupted broadcast. Likewise, she received awards for being selected by the listeners, as producer and host of that radio program.

Likewise, she received the award from the Government of Women, as a current program, a space of which she is a talent-host along with Patricia Arache and Tatiana Rosario.

After an open call on the Premiogardo.com website, the public nominated in each line and category the productions and professionals of the Dominican radio for Greater Santo Domingo and the East, South and North regions.

Alcántara, who has a journalistic career of more than 25 years in the different media (written press, radio and television), thanked the public for following up on her professional work and for honoring her by nominating her for doing what she is passionate about. : guide the population and interact with the audience on issues of their interest in the political, social, economic and cultural spheres.

“When I entered the university to study Social Communication Sciences, I visualized my future on the radio, addressing the problems that affect people, informing the population about the events that impact them so that they make the best decisions, denouncing the injustices and wrong actions of those who make decisions in the country ”, expressed the journalist and university professor.

She said that the nominations commit her even more to continue exercising her profession with transparency, objectivity and close to the truth. "I aspire to contribute to a greater social awareness of the people so that they can demand their rights and fulfill their duties," he stressed.

She thanked God, each of the listeners who honor her with their tuning and the executives of the Rumba FM radio station, of the RCC Media Group for allowing her to be part of this network of programs. Likewise, the organizers of the GARDO Award, mainly its president Juan Carlos Albelo.

The GARDO Award celebrates its second edition and the award for the different categories will be awarded on the 26th of this month.
