Planning and Quality Management: the team behind the Strategy

Guzmán, rector of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), led a letter to the community in which he announced the formal start to the process planning for the 2018-2022 Strategy. Guided by the Nine-step methodology of the Balanced Scorecard Institute, the Planning and Quality Directorate of INTEC has ensured that everything is in its place for the proper development of the process. “The methodology has an outline for each step of the process, from what is seen in the front office, which are the work sessions, to the back office, the work of the unit when it collects information and filters it, so that we guarantee that the data are not repeated and that the critical points come out ”, detailed Vicioso.

In addition, he emphasized that the Planning and Quality Department has focused on following the letter of the methodology taking into account the Principles of INTEC, respecting integrity, plurality de opinion and criteria of each member of the community, "Because that is what identifies us as intecianos," he stressed, while stating that the crossover methodology guarantees an almost 360-degree view of each of the aspects that are evaluated in the work sessions.

Meanwhile, Vicioso considered that the important thing about the methodology is four basic criteria allowing design a strategy map of the institution. “When you see it there, you know what the institution needs and how it works, then in view of that, objectives and goals are established that, making it simple, ensures the results we are looking for. It is a methodology of continuous improvement, which means that, if for some reason there is an indicator that is not working well, the same methodology is in charge of making the substitution to make the system work ”, he highlighted.

Vicioso, Sanabia and Pieraldi explained that the 2018-2022 Strategy seeks for INTEC to be an institution in which there is an exemplary service, where a favorable work environment is created so that employees want to belong to it.

INTEC's Planning and Quality Directorate affirmed that the participación of the students has been very active.
