INTEC's Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Innovation concludes the first activities of its international training day on entrepreneurship and innovation
SANTO DOMINGO – The Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Innovation of Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) concluded the first meetings of its new international program. This initiative brings together specialists from around the world to conduct workshops, seminars, and lectures for the university community and the general public.
The training program features 57 registered speakers based in countries such as the Dominican Republic, the United States, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Guatemala, Spain, and Cuba. The experts' presentations are part of an academic calendar scheduled from June to November 2026.
During the month of June, the institution organized two virtual events using the Teams platform. The first, the workshop "Leading with AI: Two Days to Transform Your Business Today," took place on June 16 and 18, facilitated by Ricardo Villagrán, fractional manager and strategic consultant. The event brought together approximately 30 people, including students, alumni, staff, and members of the public.
Villagrán is a civil electrical engineer from the University of Chile and holds an MBA from ESEM Spain. He has over 25 years of experience leading strategic transformations for B2B companies in Latin America. Throughout his career, he has spearheaded internet implementation in southern Chile, the expansion of multinational operations, and the digital transformation of various industries. He is the creator of the Radar-AI® methodology, designed to assess the readiness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to adopt artificial intelligence.
Subsequently, on June 23, the agenda continued with the session "Beyond Money: How to Build Successful Investor Relationships," led by Sergio Delgado, executive director of the da Vinci Foundation of Uruguay. This activity registered 82 participants from the academic and external community.
Delgado specializes in developing entrepreneurial ecosystems in Latin America. His professional work includes supporting startups through incubation, acceleration, and investment preparation programs. He is also a member of the German Startup Council for South America and serves as the general facilitator for INCUBADORASLAT, a network connecting more than 260 business support centers in the region.
