Ten professionals will study the INTEC Master's Degree in Construction Administration, after winning the Inconcreto Award
The construction companies Aybar and Therrestra developed this award to recognize young professionals and give them the opportunity to continue their postgraduate studies.
Santo Domingo. - Ten professionals from the construction sector will study the Master's Degree in Construction Administration of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) after being winners of the first call for the Inconcreto Award, which recognizes Excellence in Civil Engineering and Architecture Professionals, and which is developed by the construction companies Aybar and Therrestra.
During an emotional ceremony, executives from the construction company Aybar and Terrestra, together with members of the Inconcreto jury council, as well as the rector of INTEC, Julio Sánchez Maríñez, presented the scholarships to Jans Rodríguez Chevalier Cabrera, Edwin Alfonso Reyes Acevedo, Jennifer Castro Díaz , Víctor Acevedo, Luis Hendherson Peralta Adames, Leticia Shantal Hernández, Lesly Pricilla Guilamo, Nayib Wessin Hazím, Ashley Marie Montilla and Karina María Damián Rosa.
The selection was developed since the announcement of the award in February 2024, it consisted of three stages, in which eighty profiles were initially selected, of those eighty, twenty were purged and had to go through the INTEC test filter, to finally be Ten profiles were chosen that were interviewed one by one by the members of the award's jury council, and concluded by awarding the scholarships for the master's degrees. The objective was to recognize the best four applicants, but the 10 finalists demonstrated exceptional abilities and inspiring stories, which is why they all received scholarships to pursue the master's degree.
“Inconcreto is a project that not only benefits the selected professionals but also united the efforts of important personalities in the industry who have marked the history of construction in our country, and faithfully believing that training is the pillar of a nation, we feel honored to reach this day after months of evaluations,” highlighted José Aybar, founder of the award, who also thanked each of the people and construction companies that came together to achieve the award.
At the event, Sánchez Maríñez pointed out that, for INTEC, it was a great pleasure to have participated as a jury for the awards, since by awarding the scholarships for the master's degree in Construction Administration they are contributing to the country with professionals of the highest academic level.
Hugo Pérez, founder of the Inconcreto project, gave the closing speech of the ceremony in which he indicated “we firmly believe in the education and development of our professionals. In this first edition we managed to get 10 people made of concrete with concrete muscles and steel bones… talents that represent the future of our industry…”
