Constructora will develop internship program for INTEC students
Santo Domingo.- Term students and graduates of the Civil Engineering careerl Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) will be able to carry out professional practices in Therrestra Group, a company dedicated to offering design, construction and supervision services for tourist, residential and commercial projects in both the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean.
The internship program is limited to a framework agreement signed by the rector of INTEC, Rolando M. Guzmán and the president of Therrestra, Hugo Pérez Ovalles, in which the university and the construction company agreed develop educational and scientific actions aimed at promoting improvement in the training of students.
"Half of the Therrestra work team is made up of INTEC graduates, they are excellent young people in terms of their academic training and their work development, so it seemed natural to us that an agreement was formalized with the university", explained engineer Pérez very excited.
Meanwhile, the rector of INTEC indicated that the academy is highly linked to the productive sectors of the nation, and is committed every day to training human talent that strengthens competitiveness and productivity in the country.
The agreement includes joint research projects, participation in seminars, training programs and scholarships, among others. Therrestra's internships will be carried out in the projects that the construction company has in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean.
