Making a mistake with responsibility
Armando Barrios, the first speaker of the event and a research professor at the College of Advanced Management Studies (CESA) of Colombia, raised the need for teachers to educate the world that people must face. "There is no way to innovate, to undertake and to be creative if it is not wrong. Studies have determined that the general tendency is for entrepreneurs to have more stable achievements in the seventh attempt, that is, after four or six failures. That's why teachers must allow students to make mistakes without fear, but with responsibility, "he said.
On the role of educational institutions questioned the fact that it is assumed as a standard that reproduces the "best practices" of other educational institutions that are taken as a model, in general. "The educational system must have the courage to break with the past; Following the "best practices" only makes an institution resemble the one that does what we are reproducing and the more institutions do it, there will be nothing that differentiates us, "said Barrios, of Venezuelan origin.
