Intecian community celebrates its 40 years with a breakfast


Santo Domingo. El Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo, INTEC, celebrated the fortieth anniversary of its foundation with the holding of the traditional Institutional Breakfast, where it was commemorated that Monday, October 9, 1972, when a group of committed young professionals put their ability, academic vocation and diligence at the service of Dominican society .

During the meeting, four collaborators of the institution made the customary raising of the national flag and the institutional flag, a recognition of the responsibility, delivery and contributions of those who have remained in the institution and, at the same time, an incentive for those who are now join the hive follow the example of those who have dedicated their lives to INTEC. Those responsible for raising the flags on this occasion were:

  1. The most recent collaborator at the institution, Yolanda Cabrera, Head of Financial Assistance to Students, Finance Department.
  2. Leandra Tapia, Academic Vice Chancellor, and outstanding professor with more than 30 years at the service of INTEC, from different academic and administrative functions.
  3. The award-winning collaborator 2012 with Bee Gold Service: Luis Carlos Mena, Income Officer of the Treasury Department, recently promoted for his merits.
  4. And the awarded teacher 2012 for high evaluations, Edwar Alberto Segura Alcántara, Coordinator of Mathematics Sub-Area, Area of ​​Basic and Environmental Sciences

It also recognized a part of the human team that accompanied the founders in the task of forging INTEC and have been active since the first decade, among them were:

The event was headed by the Rector, Rolando Guzmán, Ana María Ramos, President of the Board of Regents, Leandra Tapia, Academic Vice-Rector, Julio Sánchez Maríñez, Vice-Rector for Research and Engagement, and Alfonso Casasnovas, Vice-Rector for Administration and Finance. Former rectors, students, teachers and collaborators participated in it.

At the end of the act, red and white balloons were released into the air as a symbolic act.
