College Board brings together 300 representatives of universities in Santo Domingo

The rector of INTEC, who has experience as a teacher at all educational levels, said that "Teachers must also be competent in facilitating the conditions for the same student to make the most of the learning process with the teacher or without the teacher. The goal should be for students to learn to learn. "

In the meeting, which ended on Friday 15, involved educators, researchers, counselors and managers of some 68 Latin American educational institutions, 40 of them universities. The central theme was "Competencies of students and teachers for competitiveness in a global scenario: What are they and how to evaluate them?". It is an opportunity to exchange experiences about the reality of the education system in Latin America.

The College Board is an international non-profit organization that brings together more than 5,000 educational institutions around the world, both mid-level and university.

Along with the ministers of Education (MINERD) and Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT), the event was headed by Janning Estrada, executive director of the College Board for Latin America, Juan A. Aponte Morales, vice president of the Puerto Rico and American College Board Latina and María Luisa Lesser, Director of Relations, Development and Administration of the College Board.
