Claro delivers laptops to 10 INTEC students


Santo Domingo.- The telecommunications company Claro benefited ten students of the INTEC Program with Outstanding Students (PIES), as part of its Connecting Education initiative, which favors the growth and excellence of Dominican youth, enabling learning and the transmission of knowledge, to through their communication networks.

The winners are new university students, deserving to graduate with excellent academic indexes of their high schools. The group of ten is formed by students of Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, Economics, Mechatronics and Marketing. Joining the first five beneficiaries last August.

All of them received laptops with USB Internet service from the hands of the Claro executives for one year.

Connecting Education is a fundamental ally of the leadership of this company and of wireless connectivity that covers the entire national territory, facilitating the changes and innovations essential for the transformation of higher education and the dissemination of science and technology.

The event that took place in the campus, was attended by the rector Rolando Guzman, Ivette Bautista, Director of Development and Graduates, Ailin Lockward, executive director of extension and provision of services, and Onamenci Guerra, in charge of national scholarships and credits .
