New edition of the hive circulates


The innovative talent, the experiences of our students and the diversity of university life are once again highlighted in this new edition of La Colmena, the bimonthly publication that arrives with this print run for its seventh edition.

The pages of the magazine that circulates since this week also reproduce an in-depth interview with the rector Miguel J. Escala, to weeks of finishing the management started in 2005. "I believe in the alternation of power, in which new blood is necessary and that an institution like INTEC requires a leadership that is renewed frequently," explains the outgoing rector on his decision not to opt for a third term.

With this interview, La Colmena starts a series of special works and invites its readers, especially university students, to send their questions to the person who is elected and assume the position of the rectory for the 2011-2014 period.

OTHER THEMES

The publication reviews, among other topics, the achievements of future industrial designers, the proposal of an electronic engineering student to facilitate the search of parking spaces on campus and the opening of the Business Plans Competition being carried out by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation of INTEC. In addition, it collects the business advice that entrepreneur José Luis Corripio (Pepín) shared with the conference attendees: Diversification Strategies "organized by the INTEC Business area. The tonic of finance is complemented by a report on how to better manage the budget in times of crisis.

One week at INCAE Business School, one semester at Uninorte, fifteen days in the Dominican bateyes with a group of Intecianos and Northeastern students doing social entrepreneurship, are some of the accounts of student mobility experiences. The chronicles of a vacation in Haiti collaborating with Un Techo para mi País complement this varied edition.
