CEMEX and INTEC strengthen the Honors Internship program

Santo Domingo.- The company CEMEX and the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) signed a cooperation agreement that contemplates the joint development of educational programs that allow INTEC students to have professional experiences related to their careers, as a complement to the academic training they receive in the classroom.

The agreement, signed by Carlos González, President of CEMEX and Miguel Escala, Rector of INTEC, contemplates professional internships at CEMEX for term students highlighted by their academic index and other co-academic merits, under the "Internship of Honor" program.

The agreement will have a validity of three years and involves the direct application of the knowledge of the career in the different areas of activity of the company, the development of skills necessary for their future professional management and the acquisition of computer tools and techniques to apply to the knowledge acquired in INTEC.

In a few words during the act of signing the agreement, González said that "sustainable behavior has always been part of the business culture of CEMEX and is a process in which learning and continuous improvement are the foundation of all our actions. For his part Dr. Escala said that "this agreement is the continuation of a joint effort between our institutions, as we value the feedback given by the productive sectors on the profile and skills that demand and we take into account for our recent reform curricular. "
