When interviewed by students of the Social Communication and Digital Media career of Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), Mejía said that it will create conditions and opportunities for poor women to have more training and economic independence and thus achieve greater female empowerment.

The PRM Secretary General said that to achieve good public management it is essential that the use of resources be managed in the most efficient way possible and, even more, when the mayor's office "unfortunately" does not receive what it is entitled by law.

 “The ways to solve situations must always be done from the perspective of an efficient administration of resource management, which are always scarce, in a transparent way, and remind every public servant that he should get used to giving explanations regarding the money he uses because it doesn't belong to him, ”Mejía emphasized.

The candidate indicated that in the public sector it is an obligation of the server to give explanations and make a transparent management.

Mejía said that its management is framed in four axes: a closer, orderly, supportive and innovative Santo Domingo. His proposal addresses the creation of minor mayorships and parking circuits, recovery of public spaces, mass lighting, technical education educational programs for youth and the internationalization of the 525th anniversary of the foundation of the city to relaunch it as a tourist attraction.

In addition, Mejía said he will focus on continuing on the right path, that is, not going back to improper practices, especially in the administrative field and in the lack of accountability, continuing to recover public spaces and work for the population. .

On transit and transport, he pointed out that, in order to address this problem, propose measures and seek definitive solutions, the roles and power in real terms of the institutions of the sector must first be defined.

However, he said that it is not worthwhile to initiate legal conflicts when the chaos persists, rather he emphasized looking for solutions together through the creation of a work table that involves the city council, the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation, the Mayors of the Commonwealth of Santo Domingo, the Ministries of Education and Public Ministry and chauffeur organizations.

"We must work at a table that with the political will we will achieve in 12 months to have all the regulations to be able to regulate this situation and look for definitive ways out," said Mejía.
