Chamber of Commerce of Santo Domingo and INTEC will offer continuing education program to SME entrepreneurs


Santo Domingo. -La Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo (CCPSD) and the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), signed a collaboration agreement, where both entities are commit to encourage academic activities in favor of SMEs (SMEs).

In addition, the agreement has as its purpose generate the competences necessary in the Dominican entrepreneurs from the SME sector, that promote their growth for the benefit of national productive apparatus. Additionally, the opportunity will be given to students of INTEC terms for internships in the CCPSD or partner companies.

The collaboration agreement was signed by Manuel Luna Sued, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CCPSD, and Rolando M. Guzmán, president of INTEC

The rector of INTEC highlighted the importance of the firm, which in his opinion is the formalization of actions joint collaboration, which the Chamber of Santo Domingo and INTEC have been supporting for years.

In his words, Guzmán highlighted his confidence that "this strategic alliance will be a great opportunity for entrepreneurs of SMEs that receive attention and advice through the CCPSD and that now they will find a continuing education program through which to reinforce their knowledge for the benefit and development of your business ".

On his side, Luna, emphasized that one of the strategic priorities of the institution that he directs is the attention to medium businessman, which is why "initiatives like these help us to fulfill our mission of facilitate doing business, if we want our entrepreneurs to continue advancing, updating concepts is key ".

Luna thanked all the team involved to implement this agreement. "Signing with INTEC is a guarantee of success for the academic excellence that supports its programs. I hope this is the first, of many other graduates, that we can do together, because SMEs are the most important engine that drives the generation of jobs and the development of the country.

El Centro MIPYMES of INTEC will be the organ that will design and coordinate academic content of the diploma, with the support of the Permanent Education of said university.

In the formalization of this agreement, the lady was present Carmen Santana, executive vice president of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo; Hamlet Montás, Manager of Business Development and Farah De la Mota, Marketing and Communications manager.

On the part of the INTEC, they gathered Ailin Lockward, Director of Institutional Relations and Development; Carlos reyes, Director of Permanent Education; Roxana Brady, Degree Coordinator of the Economics and Business Area and, Juan Calderón, Director Center MIPYMES-INTEC.
