Welcome to the postgraduate level
SANTO DOMINGO. With various acts, the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) welcomed the welcome and induction of the new students of the graduate level programs, who began their studies in the February - April quarter 2016.
The welcome ceremony is a first approach with university authorities that includes important guidance on academic and administrative aspects of the university, a tour of the institution, identification and selection of online subjects, which will allow students to identify with the institution and insert themselves in a more efficient way in their studies.
Dr. Alba Henríquez, Executive Director of Postgraduate Studies, highlighted INTEC's role as a pioneer and leader in offering postgraduate programs given that it has 44 active programs, six with double degrees, a total of 1,100 active students and more than 10,000 graduates at that level.
He emphasized the information contained in the Welcome Manual, in which students will find relevant data on academic regulations, student services, financial information, directory and institutional procedures, as well as on the history, philosophy and strategy of INTEC. In addition, he reminded newcomers of the international mobility opportunities available to enrich their educational experience.
On this occasion, the induction took place in various events at the university headquarters in Santo Domingo and at the Eduardo León Jimenes Center in Santiago.
The regular Induction for the programs Master in International Trade Management in double degree with the CINPE-National University of Costa Rica and for the Master in Banking and Stock Market was carried out on Thursday 28 in January, at the 4: 00 pm in the Sala Julio Ravelo de la Fuente. In addition, students entered the Master's Program in Occupational Risk Prevention and Specialty and Master's in Mathematics.
On the INTEC campus, almost 200 students were welcomed to the Specialty in Early Education, through the agreement of National Institute for Training and Training of Teachers (INAFOCAM) with the Center for Educational Studies of INTEC.
During the ceremony held on Cultural Center Eduardo León Jimenes in Santiago, the opening ceremony was given to students for the Master's program in Gender and Policies of Equality in Education, through the agreement signed by the Center for Gender Studies of INTEC and the INAFOCAM.
