Library lends textbooks online
Let's be honest, not every day we're in the mood to walk around the campus carrying our Harrison Medicine or Calculus books. However, with the new Electronic Books Loan service of the Emilio Rodríguez Demorizi Library you can request them from any place with Internet connection and even make the complete download to your Smartphone and / or Android, Tablet or Ipad.
The new facility, to which teachers also have access, also allows you to have access to complementary bibliography of your subjects. All works can be borrowed for 48 hours.
The process is simple:
Go to www.intec.edu.do/biblioteca and within the eBooks menu click on Online Loan.
Fill in the User Name with your registration (year, script and number) and the Password using your Student Pin. In the case of teachers, the user is the ID number (with dashes) the payroll code and the access code is the payroll code (8 digits) or ID number or passport (without hyphens). Before starting the download, make sure you have Adobe Digital Edition installed on your computer. Download the required application according to the type of device.
You can find your textbooks by searching by thematic categories, author or title words.
As it is a virtual service, which works in a similar way to the presence, the availability of books will depend on the number of copies or electronic copies available in the Library. You must remember that after the loan term is over, the book is blocked, and if you finish using it before the deadline, you can return it so that others of your colleagues can consult it.
If a book is not available, do not worry! The platform presents you with a form to reserve it, which notifies you by email when it has been returned.
El Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) through the Emilio Rodríguez Demorizi Library, it has opened an acquisition program with the most important publishers in the world to offer you the complete books assigned to you by your teachers and in Spanish, including McGraw Hill and Cengage Learning.
The development of the collections of textbooks and complementary bibliography is coordinated by the Library with the Academic Areas.

This service provides access to electronic books (E-Books) in full text, which support academic programs directly (textbooks) or indirectly (complementary bibliography).
Through the Web portal of the Library it is possible to download these books on your computer or electronic device and borrow them for 48 hours. The loan process must be done online. If you need it for a shorter time than stipulated you can proceed to make the return, online.
