Urbanova grouping will close Steps X XUMUM PIES
Santo Domingo. The Dominican musical group Urbanova will be responsible for formally closing the walk X PUMP 2013, an event that takes place for the second consecutive year on Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), with the purpose of allocating the funds raised to the university career of young people who integrate the INTEC Program with Outstanding Students, PIES.
The event will take place this next Sunday 14 in April, from the 9: 00am in the facilities of the National Botanical Garden.
Urbanova is a group formed in 2011 and made up of six prominent Dominican musicians who present in each installment a Bossa-nova mix with native rhythms such as merengue, salsa and bachata, and Latin American rhythms such as Samba and Fusón. The interesting mix between Caribbean instruments, the rhythms, the dynamism and the experience of the members allow us to project Urbanova as an interesting musical proposal perfectly adapted to these times.
As a family activity, in addition to the musical part, Pasos X PIES 2013 will also have recreational activities for all attendees, including the participation of mimes and face painting for the little ones and the sale of Helados Bon, Little Bakery and Bocao Sandwiches.
Since its creation 25 years ago the PIES is a pioneer in granting scholarships to the best students in the country, for them to pursue their university studies at INTEC and since then has sponsored the careers of some young 1,433.
With the slogan "An action that generates a thousand changes", Steps Per Feet invites graduates and the general public to be part of the hive and assume a culture of donation within the framework of a family activity between peers, old friends, teachers and anyone who wishes to make a donation.
The contribution for those interested in supporting the event is the purchase of an entry kit, at a cost of RD $ 400.00 (including a shirt and a bracelet). The points of sale are established in the INTEC facilities.
The walk has the support of companies such as Orange Dominicana, Corripio Media Group, Serviport, Body Shop Athletic Club, PIISA, EPS, Popular AFP, Bepensa Dominicana, Mercasid, Nestlé, Grupo Ramos and Grupo Handal.
