40 participants from 13 European nations in the INTEC International Staff Week (ISW) 2023

SANTO DOMINGO. - The International Staff Week (ISW) 2023Organized by the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), was developed in various spaces on the campus aimed at publicizing the Higher Education system in the Dominican Republic and INTEC, sharing experiences, motivating cooperation and expanding the network of relations with the participating countries.

Among them, INTEC received visitors from Austria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Germany, Istanbul, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia.

In addition, the 40 visitors from 13 European nations attended the guided tours established in the agenda and specific meetings with academic and/or administrative counterparts, and with student groups, through the program designed by the INTEC Institutional Mobility team, coordinated by Maria Luisa Ferrand.

The program included thematic presentations on the Spanish language "Dominican style", internationalization seen from the DR higher education system, folkloric and cultural events for the enjoyment and knowledge of the participants. The participants also shared about their culture through a stand where they placed institutional elements, snacks and sweets from each country.

Among the exhibitors were Dr. Miguel Escala, past rector of INTEC and Professor Emeritus, Dr. Carlos Sanlley, director of Research, Luis Toirac, professor of Industrial Engineering and Heidi Sánchez, director of the INTEC Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI INTEC). .

These actions are part of the activities that are carried out to continue strengthening the ties between the institutions and, likewise, a space for reflection is created for the construction of other opportunity initiatives.
