INTEC teacher receives Medal of Merit of Dominican Women 2020


Santo Domingo. -The Dr. Agripina Ramírez, he teaches of the Degree in Biotechnology of Area of ​​Basic and Environmental Sciences of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and current Director of the Institute of Innovation in Biotechnology and Industry (IIBI), received the Medal of Merit for Women 2020, which grants the Executive power, for his contributions as a science professional.

Ramírez Sánchez was trained as a scientific researcher at the University of Murcia, Spain, where she completed a master's degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, and later a doctorate in Biodiversity and Environmental Management, obtaining the highest outstanding qualification and the Cum Laude mention.

She is also a member of the Analytical Network of Latin America and the Caribbean (RALACA), and as a researcher she has been responsible for five research projects obtained in competitive public calls, by the National Fund for Innovation and Scientific and Technological Development (FONDOCYT) and for the international funds of the Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development (CYTED) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
