Do you already have a business idea? Apply for it at INTEC Emprende 2023
SANTO DOMINGO. – Successful projects like Jompéame, Kikaboni, Our Flavor, AlterState, Agenda Pequeñín, Happy Clean, Botcity y Hive originated from INTEC Emprende, the pre-incubation program of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (CEI-INTEC) that seeks to train and support potential local entrepreneurs, during the exploration, development and validation of their business ideas.
These projects were polished like a diamond during months of hard work. If you are a student, professor, graduate or collaborator of the university and have an innovative or original business idea that adds value to society, You have from March 1 to 17 to apply for your project and be part of INTEC Emprende 2023.
The INTEC Emprende program, which was previously called Brilliant Ideas, focuses on three main lines of action: promoting an entrepreneurial culture, training in entrepreneurship and innovation, and experimentation and development through the pre-incubation process.
Heidi Sánchez, coordinator of the CEI, pointed out that INTEC Emprende provides participants with focused training in order to transform their ideas into validated business projects.
The program consists of 60 hours of intensive training in 8 modules corresponding to different areas of knowledge and complementary mentoring session. The trainings address different topics such as creativity, innovation, design thinking, entrepreneurship, business model, customer development and business plan.
Sánchez points out that INTEC Emprende contemplates triple helix collaborative training activities (government-academy-company), with private and public entities in different matters such as formalization, registration of trade names and brands, business finance, marketing among others.
The projects that apply will be chosen on March 20 and starting in April the workshops, master classes and training will begin. On July 26, the teams that have completed the training phase will be able to pitch their project before a jury of experts who will be in charge of selecting the winning proposal.
