INTEC teacher participates as author in book of the Private Technical University of Loja

The expert in Social Communication Esmerarda Montero participated as the author of one of the articles in the 2020 Strategic Communication Collection of the Ecuadorian university

SANTO DOMINGO. - Esmerarda Montero, PhD in Communication and teacher of Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), participated as author in the Strategic Communication Collection 2020, a book developed by the Private Technical University of Loja (UTPL) in collaboration with professionals from other Ibero-American universities.

The trend of influencers was the topic addressed by Montero, focusing on strategies with more effective influencers, formats used and the relationship of the company with the target audience through these opinion leaders.

The teacher, with a trajectory of more than 10 years in the field of social communication and research, expressed her high degree of satisfaction after collaborating in the academic project.

"It was an opportunity to join forces in understanding the changes that the market is experiencing in terms of strategic communication and to open a way of cooperation between experts from different countries and contexts, I am glad to have been able to be part of this project and I bet on other initiatives of this nature, ”he said.

The UTPL Strategic Communication Research and Management Group worked together with other institutions in the generation of valuable content as a “transversal component for the success of organizations and companies”.

His research guideline was based on the management of strategic communication; internal communication; strategic communication for development and social innovation; and political communication. Contributing to academic research on strategic communication management in Latin America is one of the objectives of the UTPL collection.

Similarly, contribute to the collection, analysis and systematization of strategic communication practices developed by communication managers, promoting efficient work dynamics for the development of strategic plans that benefit communication management.

Esmerarda Montero has a PhD and a master's degree in Social Communication, both degrees from the University of the Basque Country and a degree in Social Communication with a mention in Journalism from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD).

Author of the investigation "The spectacularization of prime time television news: a comparative study between the Dominican Republic and Spain " (2018). In turn, he has written several articles for indexed communication magazines.

The expert currently works as a teacher in INTEC's Social Communication and Digital Media Career in the subjects Scientific Investigation Methodology, Journalistic Investigation Methodology Investigation and Development Journalism; Writing for Media and Journalistic Ethics Topics, and is a founding partner of the strategic communication consulting company Bright Podium.
