INTEC and DP World Academy sign academic collaboration agreement


With this alliance they seek to contribute to the growth of professionals who are part of the entire supply chain in the country

SANTO DOMINGO. - The logistics solutions provider company DP World, under the framework of its DP World Academy training center, signed a collaboration agreement with the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), to offer executive programs, master's degrees and other courses focused on the areas of logistics, manufacturing, maritime and port.

The programs will be available to university students, DP World collaborators in the country, as well as professionals from the logistics sector interested in strengthening their knowledge.

The agreement was signed by Morten Johansen, CEO of DP World in the country and by Rolando M. Guzmán, rector of INTEC.

During the event, Morten Johansen emphasized DP World Caucedo's commitment to make the Dominican Republic the most important logistics hub in the Americas and how initiatives such as the DP World Academy and the formation of alliances with these educational entities respond to this objective.

"With INTEC as a strategic ally, at DP World Academy we will be contributing to the growth of professionals who are part of the entire supply chain in the country, by meeting the requirements of technical skills and knowledge about logistics of the industries they form part of. part ”, he affirmed.

Meanwhile, the rector of INTEC highlighted the pride that this strategic alliance represents for the university and the benefits it will bring to the nation, the students of the entity and the professionals of the sector.

“The relationship with DP World, and in particular with DP World Academy, represents a new opportunity to unite our institution with world-class entities. The intention is to carry out activities that contribute, in different ways, to the development of the logistics and transportation capacities of the Dominican Republic. This is a first step of which, I am sure, will be a long journey of collaboration ”, he expressed.
